Your role and responsibilities

Application Developer, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY, and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 80% telecommuting permitted):

• Design and develop integrated Java applications for ease of maintenance.
• Use MVC design patterns to organize the AngularJS, controllers, custom directives, factories, and views.
• Implement Spring IOC using DI and create RESTful web services.
• Develop Rest webservices to implement rest API to pull and push the data.
• Handle log monitoring with advanced searches and dashboard visualizations using Splunk.
• Contribute to database design, creating critical-path and high-risk technical designs.
• Migrate from Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the backend services.
• Design UI using Angular, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Implement resilient, scalable multi-regional data lake with AWS S3 storage.
• Perform data evaluation, extraction, and transformation for analytics in a big data environment.
• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle to develop, test and deploy large scale enterprise applications using Agile methodologies.
• Address and resolve big data issues, providing scalable enterprise solutions.
• Employ Airflow on Cloudera Hadoop to create dynamic structured workflows.
• Create and schedule pipelines using Directed Acyclic Graph's (DAG) with python scripts to provide a user-friendly graphical view of managing scheduled tasks.
• Leverage a distributed engine (i.e., Genie) to automate the RESTful hits to scale requests.
• Migrate data from traditional Hadoop framework to Amazon Elastic MapReduce (EMR), using EMR Filesystem to run Spark programs for data processing and transformation.
• Monitor data analytics and management, pull data via Cloudera Hadoop and Sqoop, process it with Spark, and send it to downstream applications like QVD files.
• Utilize: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Angular, Spring Concepts, Java, Python.

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS), Angular, Spring Concepts, Java, Python. SN138. $123656 to $126800 per year. Full time.
