Direct hire compensation: $70-85k base, DOE
Our Portland, OR based client is looking for a skilled and motivated Junior Analyst to join their cybersecurity team. This role involves threat monitoring, analysis, and the use of advanced tools to ensure the security of our systems. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in threat monitoring and analysis, with a strong understanding of the tools used in the industry.

This role involves threat monitoring, analysis, and the use of advanced tools to ensure the security of our systems. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in threat monitoring and analysis, with a strong understanding of the tools used in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform threat monitoring and analysis using tools such as Elastic Burp and AWS Inspector.
- Work with the team to phase out outdated tools like Trend Micro and Qualys and transition to new technologies.
- Develop and maintain scripts, particularly in Linux, for automation and analysis.
- Support for work shifts between 8 am and 5 pm Pacific time, with minimal on-call support as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in threat monitoring and analysis.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Elastic, Burp Suite, and AWS Inspector.
- Scripting skills, especially in Linux CLI, Perl, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with transitioning from older tools to newer ones.
- Must pass a background check (no security clearance required).
