Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer with 5 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer, along with proficiency in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and ETL workflows using Google Cloud Platform native tools (Dataflow, Dataproc, Composer).
Build and optimize data models and warehouses using BigQuery.
Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to support analytics and reporting needs.
Implement data ingestion frameworks from on-prem, APIs, and streaming sources.
Ensure data quality, validation, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams Data Scientists, Analysts, and Architects to deliver data-driven solutions.
Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code for Google Cloud Platform data environments.
Optimize data workflows for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and orchestration issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

5 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer with at least 2+ years on Google Cloud Platform.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services:
- BigQuery, Cloud Storage (GCS), Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
Experience with Apache Spark, Beam, or similar data processing frameworks.
Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines using Google Cloud Platform-native or open-source tools.
Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Terraform or similar IaC tools.
Familiarity with data modeling, warehouse design, and schema optimization.
Working knowledge of data governance, security, and access control in Google Cloud Platform.

Good to Have:

Experience integrating Google Cloud Platform with third-party BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and Vertex AI.
Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure).
Certification: Google Professional Data Engineer (preferred).

Education:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
