About the Role
- Job Title:Sterling File Gateway Engineer
- Location:McLean, VA or Plano, TX - Hybrid Onsite role
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled SFG Engineer with strong experience in Sterling File Gateway to join our team.- The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting production environments, guiding integration efforts, and ensuring secure and reliable file transfers.
- Manage and supportSterling File Gateway environments (5+ years of experience required).
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to ensure stability and performance.
- Guide teams and stakeholders on SFG integration best practices and onboarding.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define file transfer workflows and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Understand and support networking and connectivity in AWS cloud environments.
- Monitor, configure, and optimize file exchange performance and reliability.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience withSterling File Gateway.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, especially networking and connectivity components (e.g., VPC, VPN, Security Groups, S3).
- Experience in production support, debugging SFG issues, and implementing preventive solutions.
- Knowledge of protocols like FTP/SFTP, HTTPS, and PGP encryption.
- Good communication and documentation skills for stakeholder interaction.
- Experience with Sterling Integrator, MFT, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with automation/scripting (Shell, Python) for monitoring and operations
Location
- This is a high-impact, hybrid role with on-site presence required in Plano, TX or McLean, VA
Position Information
Salary Range:The salary for this position is between $130,000 $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the Company s plan. Commissions for this position are estimated to be based on individual performance. Additionally, this role is also eligible for a bonus based on the achievement of mutually agreed KRAs.
