Job Details

 

Seeking SE's with testing experience to support on-site, dedicated 2nd and 3rd shift and weekend (1 day a month if needed – v initial) test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program. Responsibilities include executing test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space. Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS; programming and scripting skills; and, working knowledge of RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.) is desired. Basic Qualifications:
• BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); or HS diploma with at least 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance, or military control room console operator; or defense industry work experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance
• Willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends for several months continuously (2nd shift is typically 1 PM – 10 PM; 3rd shift is typically 9 PM – 6 AM)
• No clearance needed to start for escorted work
• U.S. Citizenship Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test
• Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment
• Programming in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code
• Scripting in Python or Tcl for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket
• TS/SCI clearance for unescorted work

NOTES –

  • Clean room environment.
  • Executing test scripts. Most of the processes is automated.  Contractor will need to determine the problem if the test fails. If unable to solve the problem they will ask an subject matter expert to assist.
  • No shift differential. No overtime.
  • Clearance is not required to start but must be able to obtain the clearance.  Can also start with a secret clearance.
  • Looking for someone with a degree, if they do not have a degree but has military experience they can be considered.
