Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled HP/OpenText NNMi Engineer with hands-on experience in implementing and configuring NNMi in complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will also have strong expertise in integrating NNMi with Kafka-based data pipelines and other IT infrastructure tools to enable real-time network monitoring and observability.

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled HP/OpenText NNMi Engineer with hands-on experience in implementing and configuring NNMi in complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will also have strong expertise in integrating NNMi with Kafka-based data pipelines and other IT infrastructure tools to enable real-time network monitoring and observability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and configuration of HP/OpenText NNMi for network monitoring.
- Design and deploy NNMi policies, views, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms.
- Integrate NNMi with Kafka data pipelines to enable real-time event streaming and analytics.
- Develop custom scripts and automation for enhanced monitoring and data flow.
- Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to define monitoring and integration requirements.
- Integrate NNMi with third-party tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Splunk, Grafana).
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and scalability of the NNMi environment.
- Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with HP/OpenText NNMi implementation and administration.
- Strong understanding of NNMi architecture, components, and configuration best practices.
- Experience integrating NNMi with Kafka for real-time data pipeline monitoring.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with SNMP, ICMP, and other network monitoring protocols.
- Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and tool integrations.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and performance metrics.
- HP/OpenText NNMi certification or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
