RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking a Program Manager II.
Summary:
Our client is seeking two highly experienced Program Managers to join in Birmingham to lead two mission-critical workstreams. This role is an opportunity to be at the forefront of enterprise-wide digital transformation as our client replaces legacy systems and migrates core services to the cloud. The Program Manager will work in a highly visible, fast-paced, and agile environment that requires exceptional organizational skills, executive presence, and an unwavering focus on outcomes and metrics. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, executive stakeholders, and agile delivery resources to ensure successful delivery of strategic banking solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Lead strategic programs related to the modernization of core deposit systems
* Serve as a trusted liaison between program teams and senior leadership
* Drive end-to-end program delivery with a focus on agile KPIs including velocity, cycle time, and throughput
* Partner with Scrum Masters, developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to align execution with strategic objectives
* Oversee the migration of banking systems to modern cloud-based architectures
* Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage vendors, allocate resources, and resolve delivery risks
* Provide executive-level reporting and updates, ensuring clarity on progress, blockers, and value realization
* Facilitate continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making and agile best practices
* Maintain ownership of assigned programs from initiation through delivery and post-implementation review
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field
* 7+ years of experience in Program or Project Management
* Strong background in Agile program delivery and leadership of Agile teams
* Hands-on experience with Jira and agile metrics management
* Proven success managing strategic, high-impact technology initiatives
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
* Experience in financial services or banking environments
* Deep understanding of agile frameworks and performance metrics
* Strategic thinking with the ability to operationalize complex programs
* High emotional intelligence and executive presence
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Comfortable working under pressure in a high-stakes environment
* Ability to balance multiple initiatives while maintaining attention to detail
* Ability to work onsite in Birmingham, AL on a hybrid schedule
Preferred:
* Master's degree in a related field
* PMP certification
* Experience with core banking systems, mortgage platforms, credit card systems, and cloud migration projects
* Supervisory experience managing teams of project managers, analysts, or vendors
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
