Job Description

Ford Performance is seeking a skilled and experienced Chassis Engineer/Supervisor to lead a strong team of chassis engineers on the next generation of Ford Performance products. This role includes significant work in the off-road space and on-road/track space. This job requires integration with a highly capable small group of Ford Performance vehicle dynamics engineers, to tune vehicles to be best in class in their segment.

What you'll do...
  • Lead the total chassis system integration and program delivery of Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT). Lead from pre to OKTB.
  • Act as the primary interface between the vehicle dynamics team to deliver vehicle attributes.
  • Management of all chassis elements to the vehicle program utilizing Ford tools and systems.
  • Lead chassis prototype builds.
  • Manage resolution of all chassis program issues.
  • Lead chassis team for on-site launch support from TT to OKTB as required.
  • Support chassis technical development & systems integration.

Performance Optimization: Collaborate with industry teams to optimize chassis performance and ensure seamless integration with the vehicle's overall dynamics. Strive for industry-leading chassis performance while maintaining cost and quality standards.

Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, promoting learning and professional development within the team. Encourage innovation and creative problem-solving to overcome challenges and achieve break throughs.

You'll have...
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in the development, design, and release of chassis components and sub-systems. Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
  • Automotive Expertise: In-depth knowledge of high-performance chassis automotive systems.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from conception to completion, meeting tight deadlines and budgetary constraints.
  • Innovation and Problem-Solving: A track record of driving innovation and implementing novel solutions to technical challenges.
  • Team Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
