Job Title: Engineering Project Manager 2 (100008)

Duration: 12 months
Location: New Kensington, Pennsylvania 15068 [Candidate must be able to work onsite.]

Schedule: 20-30 hours per week

Job Description:

The Engineering Project Manager 2 will be responsible for leading a new engineering design release ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with deep technical knowledge and experience managing cross-functional engineering teams

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage a new engineering design release, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and resource availability.

Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, product management, design, QA, operations, and other departments to ensure successful program delivery.

Monitor and control project scope, schedule, costs, risks, and deliverables.

Proactively lead changes within the group to ensure project scope is successful, while minimizing risk to the customer and the company.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules using project management tools.

Lead regular project meetings and provide status reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on program status, milestones, and changes in scope or schedule.

Ensure engineering standards, procedures, and practices are followed.

Facilitate technical problem-solving and decision-making across cross-disciplinary teams.

Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

Manage project documentation, change orders, and compliance requirements.

Interface with customers or external partners to define project needs and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline). Master s degree or PMP certification is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 5 8 years of relevant experience in engineering and project management. Prior experience managing engineering projects through full lifecycle required.

Technical Skills: Microsoft Project (or similar PM tools), and SAP

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Experience:

Understanding of variable frequency Motor drives and their applications.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing or construction sites.

May require occasional travel (10 20%) depending on project needs.
