ERS is seeking an Application Support Analyst/SharePoint to perform highly complex to advanced systems administration support for the Enterprise Management Support Team within the Information Systems Division. The primary responsibility of this position is application support, with a partial focus on Microsoft SharePoint, which is expected to comprise 25-50% of the role. The remaining responsibilities include supporting other applications and participating in various project activities as needed. The Analyst will work under the direction of the Enterprise Management Support Manager and with limited to minimal supervision from the Customer Success Manager, operating with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
SharePoint Administration Responsibilities:
- Site Administration & Configuration Manage SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.
- User Support & Training Provide guidance and training to users on SharePoint best practices and functionality.
- Customization & Optimization Implement SharePoint features, templates, and integrations to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Identify and resolve SharePoint-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Security & Compliance Enforce SharePoint security policies, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery Monitor SharePoint backup procedures and develop disaster recovery strategies.
- Upgrades & Patch Management Plan and execute SharePoint upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Integration with Other Systems Support integrations between SharePoint and other enterprise applications.
General Application Support Responsibilities:
- Application Maintenance & Support Ensure the stability and performance of enterprise applications through monitoring and proactive maintenance.
- Incident Management & Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve application issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
- System Enhancements & Upgrades Support application version upgrades, patches, and system improvements.
- User Access & Security Management Administer user roles, permissions, and security settings across applications.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization Analyze system performance metrics and optimize application performance.
- Automation & Process Improvement Develop scripts or automation tools to enhance efficiency in application management.
- Collaboration with IT Teams & Vendors Work with developers, database administrators, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless application operations.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Compliance & Risk Management Ensure applications align with industry standards, company policies, and security regulations.
- Project Support & Implementation Assist in the deployment of new applications, enhancements, and integrations.
- Customer Support & User Engagement Provide advanced technical support to end-users and address escalated service requests.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution for enterprise applications.
Systems Administrator V: Perform the essential functions for System Administrator IV at an elevated level with increased responsibility and also mentor junior level System Administrators.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field Each year of related experience over the required may be substituted for one year (30 semester hours) of required college credit.
- Four (4) to five (5) years (depending on classification) of experience in enterprise application support, systems administration, or a similar role with the ability to analyze system logs, errors, and performance metrics.
- Three (3) to four (4) years (depending on classification) of hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint Administration, including site configuration, permissions management, and troubleshooting.
- To qualify as a Systems Administrator V you must possess a certification as an Administrator Expert in Microsoft 365.
Preferred Qualifications: Your application for employment should reflect how you meet the following preferred qualifications:
- Experience with database management (SQL Server, SharePoint databases) and ability to perform queries.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation tools for system administration.
