Summary
The Director of Platform Services leads large-scale, enterprise platform capabilities that support application development, analytics, planning, and low-code solutions. This role sets platform direction, governance, and execution while managing sizable, multi-disciplinary teams. Success in this role requires demonstrated experience leading organizations of meaningful scale and a proven track record of long-term ownership and stability in prior leadership roles.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute an enterprise platform strategy across application development, analytics, planning/forecasting, and low-code platforms
- Lead, develop, and retain platform leaders and managers within a medium-to-large enterprise technology organization
- Establish architecture standards, governance models, and DevSecOps practices that ensure security, reliability, and scalability
- Oversee platform operations, release management, reliability, incident response, and disaster recovery
- Partner with senior business and technology leaders to align platform capabilities with business outcomes
- Manage platform roadmaps, budgets, vendors, and external delivery partners
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business field
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise platforms and/or application development
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing large, distributed (remote), or multi-layered teams and platform budgets
- Demonstrated experience leading organizations of significant size and complexity, including managers and senior-level contributors
- Proven history of employment stability, with the majority of leadership roles held for two or more years, reflecting sustained ownership and long-term impact
- Strong background in DevOps/DevSecOps, platform governance, and production operations
- Experience managing vendors, partners, and contractual deliverables
- Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Power BI, and modern analytics platforms
- Experience with enterprise planning/forecasting or supply chain platforms
- Track record of building governance models that scale innovation while maintaining control
- Advanced degree
