Position Title: Windchill Developer
Job Location: USA Remote
Joining Mode: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
• Design, develop, and implement custom solutions and enhancements for J&J’s Windchill PLM platform based on user requirements and technical specifications.
• Assist team members in resolving technical challenges by providing guidance on effective solution design and implementation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies—including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives—while working within the SAFe Agile framework to deliver Program Increment (PI) objectives on schedule.
• Stay current with Windchill PLM updates, capabilities, and best practices; recommend improvements to optimize processes and system performance.
• Provide training and support to team members on new Windchill features and functionality.
• Collaborate during story refinement sessions, technical design reviews, and effort estimation activities to ensure clear task definitions and accurate timelines.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in development and configuration of Windchill PLM.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong hands-on experience with PTC Windchill.
• Proficiency in UI customization using JCA, wizards, data utilities, validators, action framework, form processors, MVC builders, JSP, and related technologies.
• Experience with Windchill Type and Attribute Manager, including creation and management of a variety of attribute types.
• Knowledge of the Windchill Listener framework and Windchill business rules.
• Experience working with the Windchill data model, including customization of Change Management data models and workflows.
• Strong understanding of Change, Part, BOM, and Document Management functionality.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Eclipse, JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Working knowledge of relational database concepts and experience querying Windchill Oracle databases using SQL.
