Database Administrator 2 Asset Management (Onsite)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Database Administrator for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position will support, facilitate, and assist with testing system enhancements and the implementation of new or upgraded system functionality. In collaboration with agency subject matter experts (SMEs), org management, end users and other internal clients, this position will interview, research, analyze, develop / draft and recommend new, revised, and improved automated processes and business procedures and practices designed to meet the standards and requirements of Fleet Management (NSF) programs.

Key Responsibilities for Database Administrator:

  • Serve as the database administrator, point-of-contact, and a primary technical resource for the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system; and represent the Fleet Management (NSF) organization regarding ongoing operation of the system.
  • Serve as the org s primary technical resource representing Fleet Management on project teams for software upgrades, new functionality implementation, and improvement of associated processes.
  • Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) per established procedures to coordinate, schedule, and administer the Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Management program / effort.
  • Prepare, or assist in the preparation of presentations for mid-level and upper management information and consideration.
  • Maintain documentation, files and filing system(s) in accordance with compliance requirements.
  • Provide limited or back-up administrative support for workload or continuity purposes.

Requirements for Database Administrator:

  • U.S. Citizenship and valid U.S. Driver s License is required.
  • Associate s or Bachelor s Degree in Information/Computer Technology, Business Systems, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • With an applicable Bachelor s degree, 5 years of experience is required
  • With an applicable Associate s degree, 7 years of experience is required
  • Without an applicable degree, 9 years of experience is required.
  • Experience should include work experience with computer/information technology systems, preferably performing Database Administration.
  • 3+ years of experience conceptualizing and planning initiatives for data integration, gathering information, and performing business systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management software.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, charting, and reporting.
