Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Hybrid Compute Lead to manage and optimize complex hybrid IT environments that span Windows Server, Linux systems, VMware virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. This role combines technical leadership, strategic infrastructure design, and automation expertise, with a strong focus on security, performance, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid infrastructure across Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS), VMware vSphere/ESXi, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Administer and troubleshoot VMware environments including vCenter, vMotion, DRS, and HA
• Configure and manage SAN/NAS and software-defined storage (Dell Technologies, NetApp, Pure Storage, VMware vSAN)
• Lead cloud adoption, migration, and platform modernization initiatives
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Ensure security compliance, including system hardening, IAM, and vulnerability assessments
• Manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery systems
• Troubleshoot networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing) and cloud networking constructs (VPCs, subnets, gateways)
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting strategies for high availability and performance
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and document infrastructure designs and operational procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 10+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure roles
• Proven experience in hybrid cloud environments, virtualization, and storage systems
• Hands-on expertise in Windows Server, Linux, VMware, AWS, Azure, SAN/NAS
• Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for continuous learning and emerging technologies
