Advanced knowledge and experience in Computer Science or Information Technology field
Must-have: Monitoring skills, issue detection, and capability to single out problematic behaviors in a smoothly running cluster.
Must-have: Experience with Linux, Linux command line
Must be comfortable using tools like vi editor, basic commands like df, du, grep, scp, etc
Must-have: Experience with Kubernetes
Must be comfortable using basic kubectl commands to read logs, config map update, check pod status, etc
Must-have: Experience with consolidating data from multiple tools and summarizing it
e.g., getting data from MariaDB, MDA tool, script outputs and combining those to create ad-hoc comprehensible reports.
Must-have: Collaboration skills, comfortable working with multiple members from different teams across multiple time zones, & the ability to work flexible hours.
Experience: working on maintenance windows and operations
Experience: working on incident management and ticket SLA management
Good to have: basic iLO interface operations knowledge to check from the backend in case of server connectivity/disk issues.
Good to have: basic troubleshooting skills in Linux.
Experience with Cloudera CDH products/platforms/solutions like HIVE, HDFS, Spark, Impala, Sentry
Expertise in ETL tools like Talend and Hands on exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Cognos, SAS) integration with Cloudera CDH
Experience with Customer Support including customer facing role.
Experience with MOP Development and testing of MOPs
Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues/problems on large complex deployments.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills, with experience reporting project status to an internal and customer audience
