Position: Construction Engineer

Description:
- Mondays & Fridays: Remote
- Tuesday - Thursday: In-office (minimum 2 days required, Wednesdays mandatory for staff meeting)
What you'll be doing...
Construction Engineer III, focusing on ground construction for virtualization works (installation in macro sites/hubs)
- Weighing the pros and cons, including impact to the system, costs, compatibility, ease of use, reliability, and timing parameters.
- Determining the equipment needs for new and existing cell sites based on engineering plans and project outlines.
- Coordinating the integration process to provide timely deployment of projects.
- Driving complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.
- Coordinating and scheduling resources across multiple organizations to align project requirements with business goals and objectives.
- Identifying, monitoring, reporting, and escalating project-related issues to achieve timely resolution.
- Developing and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives.
- Utilizing project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestone completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions.
- Managing construction activities related to the development of multiple, simultaneous network infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrating professionalism by responding to e-mails promptly, actively participating in meetings, explaining issues clearly, providing updates, maintaining records, working with other departments, and understanding the impact of your job on the overall business.
- Providing clear direction and supervision to contractors, vendors, and/or other teams supporting upgrade projects.
You'll need to have:
- BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or three or more years of work experience.
- Experience in the wireless telecom industry.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under time pressure.
- Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong technical and project management knowledge.
- Strong project planning and time management skills.
- Knowledge and experience with the full suite of Google Workspace, including data analytical features such as PivotTable and VLOOKUP.
- BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics.
- Virtual Network Functions.
- VCP Orchestration Experience.
- CIQ Knowledge.
- Samsung RAN equipment Knowledge.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Telecom technologies.
- Knowledge of RF, Transport, and Wireless Construction.
- Ability to manage changing priorities, competing priorities, and situations in which guidelines can change.
- Knowledge of HUB, CRAN & DRAN architecture.
- Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations knowledge of 5G Wireless Networks.
- Power, Space, and Cooling knowledge.
