Role: Senior QA

W2 Contract position

Onsite role - Irving, TX

JD:

We are seeking a skilled QA/SDET to strengthen our testing and automation capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API testing and automation, hands-on experience with BDD frameworks, and solid knowledge of databases. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality through test design, automation, execution, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform API testing using Postman and JMeter.

  • Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks using Java + Rest Assured.

  • Implement and work with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).

  • Create, execute, and manage test cases; log, track, and verify defects in Jira.

  • Conduct backend database validations with MongoDB and Postgres.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Contribute to CI/CD by integrating automated test suites.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in API testing (Postman, JMeter).

  • Proficiency in Java with hands-on Rest Assured automation.

  • Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave, etc.).

  • Proficient in Jira for test management and defect tracking.

  • Good understanding of test case design, execution, and defect lifecycle management.

  • Working knowledge of MongoDB and Postgres.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
