Description
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Level 2 Data Center Technician to join our global infrastructure team. This role is critical in supporting the day-to-day operations of our data centers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our cloud and enterprise services. You'll work in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge technology and a strong focus on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of servers, network devices, and storage systems.
  • Execute complex break-fix tasks and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts, tickets, and incidents using internal tools and processes.
  • Support infrastructure deployments including racking, stacking, and cabling of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of hardware assets, configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support system upgrades, migrations, and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with data center security protocols and environmental standards.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Level 1 technicians.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking fundamentals, and data center best practices.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, monitoring tools, and inventory management platforms.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or similar.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise or hyperscale data center environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
