Job Title: System Administrator Full-time
Location: Austin, TX (Remote)
Duration: Long Term
Experience: 5-10 Years
We're searching for a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure. You'll collaborate with IT professionals and other departments to ensure our systems are reliable, efficient, and secure.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and manage system security measures to protect data integrity and privacy.
- Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Write and maintain system documentation, including procedures and configurations.
- Conduct regular system audits and compliance checks.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in system administration and related technologies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and server management.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
