Splunk Tech lead with ITSI for Splunk Programming
A Technical Lead for Splunk is a leadership role focused on guiding a team in designing, developing, and maintaining Splunk-based solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise in Splunk, as well as leadership skills to mentor team members, drive best practices, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. this includes collaborating with product managers and other engineers, driving process improvements, and participating in on-call rotations for production support.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and direction to the team, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
Solution Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of Splunk-based solutions, focusing on scalability, performance, and security.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define requirements, deliver solutions, and ensure alignment with product objectives.
Process Improvement: Drive process improvements within the team, including areas like CI/CD, test automation, and scalability.
Mentorship and Development: Mentor team members, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of learning and growth.
Production Support: Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the stability and availability of Splunk production systems and address any issues that arise.
Innovation: Encourage innovation and help the team explore new technologies and methodologies.
Required Skills:
- Deep Splunk Expertise
- Strong understanding of Splunk architecture, data ingestion, search processing language (SPL), dashboard creation, and alerting.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and the ability to integrate Splunk with cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or others, depending on the specific team and project.
- Ability to design and implement robust and scalable systems, including experience with distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, foster a positive work environment, and drive continuous improvement.
