Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SCADA Engineer to join our team and lead the integration of real-time Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) and control systems at renewable energy generation plants, including utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise, project leadership, and the ability to deliver reliable and secure SCADA solutions that meet industry and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, implement, and commission Remote Intelligence Gateway (RIG) units in compliance with CAISO requirements.
Lead design and architecture efforts for SCADA and Plant Control Systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cybersecurity best practices.
Oversee the integration of RTUs, PLCs, power meters, meteorological (MET) data loggers, and other IEDs.
Manage and execute large-scale SCADA projects from design through commissioning.
Develop, maintain, and enforce SCADA standards, guidelines, and procedures across projects.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to define requirements, track progress, and ensure successful project delivery.
Support commissioning, testing, and validation of systems on-site.
Requirements
7 10 years of hands-on SCADA engineering experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, communication protocols, and industrial cybersecurity.
Proven success managing complex, multi-site control system projects.
Expertise in HMI development (from scratch and with templates) and data gateway configuration.
Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead teams, and interface with clients effectively.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and resources.
