System Administrator

Experience

• 5 – 8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or another related field is required.
• 3 – 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration.
• 3 – 5 years of professional experience supporting middleware such as API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services is highly desired.
• 2 – 3 years’ experience with: Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• 2 – 3 years IIS Administration.
• 2 – 3 years of network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions.
• 2 – 3 years of strong professional experience in Microsoft Azure cloud systems is highly desired.
• 2 – 3 years of experience with other cloud providers, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform is highly desired.
• 2 – 3 years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft software is highly desired.

Primary Job Duties/ Tasks

• Support and expand Client’s infrastructure. Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties.
• Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades. Monitor systems and applications to ensure security, availability, and performance.
• Establish systems by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
• Maintains network and systems performance by performing systems monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting systems and application problems; escalating problems to vendor.
• Build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment. Find opportunities to refactor solutions to obtain better performance, cost, and efficiency. Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines.
• Oversee and configure Azure DevOps organizational settings. Recommend and assist with the building and hosting of complex application solutions. Understand, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud services.
• Understand, deploy, and manage Microsoft Power Platform. Understand and manage Microsoft 365 services. Supports other IT staff, including developers. Other duties as assigned.
