Job Details

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Financial Crimes Specialist with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 6+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reviews of Trade Finance transactions to identify heightened risk based on industry flags, geography, transaction size, and goods
  • Perform data analysis using thousands of rows in Excel to detect financial crime risks
  • Recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Complete transaction due diligence forms and establish customer activity baselines
  • Collaborate with technology partners and cross-functional teams to enhance review techniques and tools
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Threat Finance
  • Support junior team members through guidance and risk-based coaching
  • Produce detailed and actionable written observations for business partners
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, Strategic Planning, or related experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work, consulting, military, or educational experience
  • 4+ years of experience in risk management, business controls, compliance, or process evaluation
  • Commercial banking and credit analysis background is required
  • Strong understanding of Financial Crimes and Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
  • Knowledge of Trade Finance products is essential
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, v-lookups, data charting, and handling large datasets)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience writing detailed risk narratives and risk disposition statements
  • Ability to evaluate complex risk profiles and communicate findings clearly and decisively
  • Comfortable working in a changing environment with evolving processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple business units


Pay Range: $44-54
