SAP Sales Performance Management(SPM) Team is looking for a Marketing lead to own the integrated marketing strategy for SPM as part of the SPM winning plan.

The Marketing lead will work closely with SPM leadership across CMSO, CRO, CPO, Field marketing and Corporate Marketing to accelerate the Winning plan and growth priorities. They will be accountable to define marketing success metrics, prioritization and focus areas, and lead regular data and insights analysis to drive ongoing improvements and success for the SPM area.

The role will align with cross functional, virtual team members from across M&S and GTM to define, build, execute and optimize integrated marketing plans at scale for a Growth Priority, including: digital journeys(IDPs), events (virtual and in person), Solution Marketing, Sales Plays, Field Marketing, brand, Thought Leadership, Partner Marketing, Industry, mid-market and Global Comms (AR, PR, Exec Comms).

The role requires participation in ongoing and annual planning processes and supporting the Business's Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Interlocks.

The position requires operational and strategic experience across multiple disciplines of marketing, ideal candidate should be a business-oriented, strategic thinker with strong marketing analytics skills, a collaborative works style, effective communication Skills, and a curious mind for problem solving. This person should have experiences managing priorities and work effectively across several internal stakeholders both globally and in regions.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Winning Plan and Growth strategies, success metrics, market trends and customer feedback are cornerstone of the integrated marketing plan for SPM.
  • Participate in annual and ongoing planning processes with a strong point of view for impact and outcome-based marketing.
  • Understand Sales Play(s) for SPM and ensure marketing alignment to the Sales Play(s).
  • Define, document and communicate marketing strategies for SPM, aligned to Winning Plan, as a part of the marketing plan.
  • Ensure clarity and consensus across a virtual team working towards shared objectives.
  • Identify gaps (content, channel, region, segment, etc.) and develop plans to address with cross-functional team(s).
  • Ensure integrated cross-functional marketing and comms plans are developed, executed and optimized at scale and supporting the full customer journey.
  • Lead data driven analysis and insights in partnership with cross functional teams.
  • Support the including of SPM marketing plans and performance in LOB MBRs, QBRs, and executive-level presentations as needed.

Requirements:
  • College degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 7-10+ years of marketing experience in a B2B environment, both strategic and operational teams
  • Ability to prioritize marketing impact and outcomes over activities
  • Proven success in leading without authority, driving clarity and consensus across a virtual team towards shared objectives.
  • Strong understanding of SAP's marketing systems and how they drive business impact (marketing attribution, CRM, etc.)
  • Proven success delivering measurable marketing results.
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • Propensity for innovative thinking and entrepreneurial attitude, while respectful of SAP processes; willing to challenge the status quo
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High level of business acumen
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
  • Sensitivity toward multi-cultural groups with a diverse background working across various groups.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 00 (NYC) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
