Pacific Steel & Recycling is currently looking to hire a Help Desk Technician on a full-time, permanent basis. This opportunity must be performed onsite in Great Falls, MT. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates open to relocating.

 

Title: Help Desk Technician

Location: Great Falls, MT

 

Summary:

The Help Desk Technician is the first line of phone support for desktop and business application related issues, evaluates them, and either resolves the issues or assigns them to other staff.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all devices throughout the network are performing at an optimal level. Makes recommendations and performs corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provides first line of support for all ERP/business application systems, networks & endpoints.
  • Effectively communicates and cooperates with outside vendors to assess, purchase and supply Pacific s equipment needs in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Ensures that PC Desktops are functioning at an optimal level for both hardware and software. Makes recommendations and performs corrective actions as necessary.
  • Responsible for all video systems. Coordinates with internal resources and vendor on all related issues.
  • Coordinates with internal resources and vendor for document management system related issues.
  • Daily demonstrates commitment to be present and work all hours assigned as needed.
  • Willingly performs and completes any work assigned in an efficient, safe and productive manner.
  • Cooperates with employees, branch personnel, customers, suppliers and others with honesty, integrity and respectful manner.
  • Willingly complies with all regulatory requirements, including federal, state, local, company and customer statutes or rules.
  • Manages time efficiently.
  • Accepts responsibility for own decisions and actions.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in an IT support role working with hardware and software.
  • Ability to evaluate software and hardware specifications and requirements.
  • Advanced level of understanding and troubleshooting skills with desktop hardware and software.
  • Working knowledge of desktop deployment strategies and software packages.
  • Knowledge of databases and networking protocols including LAN and WAN.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products and operating systems.
  • Ability to collect, organize and compile information.
  • Flexible, and able to balance several projects at one time.
