Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for data and analytics projects.
Analyze existing data flows, mappings, and ETL processes to understand source-to-target transformations and recommend improvements.
Act as a liaison between the business, data engineering, and development teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
Prepare data mapping documents, transformation logic, and interface specifications for ETL developers.
Validate and review ETL jobs, data pipelines, and integration points with business objectives and data quality requirements.
Participate in data quality analysis and exception management.
Write SQL queries for data profiling, validation, and analysis to support data requirement discussions.
Work within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver data products iteratively.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst in a data-centric environment.
Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data integration, data warehousing, and data lakes.
Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, etc.).
Solid experience in SQL for querying, profiling, and validating large datasets.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
Ability to create process flows, data flow diagrams, and documentation using tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
