As a member of the Identity and Access team, you will be part of a team responsible for the platform used by OCI service teams to access any resource within the Cloud. This platform is responsible for providing MFA using hardware authenticators, access management, access governance, and access enforcement. It is fundamental to OCI's security posture and is a highly scalable system that works across hundreds of thousands of resourceswithin each of the 30+ regions worldwide.As a Principal Software Developer, you will work on redesigning our data plane, as well as developing new features to make access friction free while maintaining security and compliance. You will also provide technical leadership to junior engineers and will be a mentor to help grow engineering craft.Duties and tasks are varied and complex, requiring independent judgment and full competence in the area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel. This candidate understands current technologies and trends in modern cloud-native service design but has a natural enthusiasm to think differently, push boundaries and take calculated risks to continuously drive value to our stakeholders.QualificationsBS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in enterprise/large customer applications development5+ years of experience in designing, delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systemsProficient in Java, GoLang or a similar object-oriented language (i.e., C#, JavaScript, C++)Working knowledge of common microservice design patterns and service-to-service communication protocolsExperience with production operations and good practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they ariseComfortable and proficient in communicating technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams)Experience with Agile Development (Scrum or Kanban)Ability to translate feature requirements into a development plan, and then execute on that planPreferred QualificationsProficiency in Java, or GoLangExperience with Java microservice and serverless frameworksExperience designing and building multi-tenant distributed systemsExperience working in a DevOps environmentSecurity knowledge with TLS, PKI and SSH or permanent resident to be able to support US government environments

Build and operate modern, cloud native, fault tolerant and scalable cloud services

Participate in the design and implementation of service API's

Participate in the entire software lifecycle: development, testing, CI/CD and operations

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
