SYSTEMTEC is seeking Mainframe COBOL Programmer for a remote opportunity in sunny South Carolina! Must have prior current work experience with COBOL, DB2 and work within a matrixed environment based development. Ideally also prefer CICS and Code Generators like APS.
Required Qualifications of the Mainframe COBOL Programmer:
- Applicants Must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies
- 8 Years COBOL Programming and Support experience This team supports commercial claims systems. This is a solid team of over 60+ application development staff within the core commercial claims responsibilities
- Required Technologies: COBOL, DB2, mainframe
- Nice to Have: Native CICS, IMS DB, Coder Generators like APS
Responsibilities of the Mainframe COBOL Programmer:
Responsible for analysis, design, programming, and implementation of complex applications tasks and projects. Devise feasible, logical procedures to resolve business problems through the use of computer resources. Formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems. Review detailed specifications and recommend modifications. Design, code, test and debug complex application programs.

Work Location: Partial Onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Columbia, SC at Data Center location
