Join our innovative team as a Tech Writer/Sr. Editor, where you'll play a crucial role in crafting and refining technical documents to support our cutting-edge products. This six-month contract position is based onsite in Sterling Heights, MI, offering a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update comprehensive technical documents to enhance product marketing, operation, and maintenance.
- Ensure documentation adheres to company standards and government specifications.
- Utilize advanced publishing tools to produce detailed descriptions, procedures, and reports.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams across multiple locations to gather necessary information.
- Maintain compliance with customer requirements and engineering standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in XML Authoring Tools such as Arbortext Epic Editor and Oxygen software.
- Strong command of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional for illustration markups.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) development processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in validation and verification processes, particularly on-vehicle.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Excellent customer interaction and service skills.
