Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Platform Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This fully remote role requires a deep understanding of cloud data architecture, big data tools, and best practices in data modeling, pipeline design, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design end-to-end data architectures on Google Cloud Platform including ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics layers.
Define and implement data lake, data warehouse, and real-time streaming solutions using Google Cloud Platform services.
Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align architecture with business goals.
Guide and oversee the development of data pipelines using tools like Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure platform scalability and performance.
Develop technical documentation and mentor junior team members on best practices.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture roles.
3+ years of hands-on experience architecting solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
Strong expertise with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.
Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data governance principles.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala.
Experience with streaming data pipelines and real-time analytics.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Deployment Manager).

Preferred Qualifications:

Google Cloud Platform Professional Data Engineer or Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect certification.
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
Exposure to machine learning pipelines and MLOps on Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations like GDPR or HIPAA.
