Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect / Data Modeler with strong hands-on expertise in Teradata and Erwin Data Modeler. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain enterprise data models that support analytical, reporting, and operational needs for large-scale environments.

This role involves close collaboration with business analysts, data architects, ETL teams, and DBAs to ensure data integrity, consistency, and high performance.


Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models for Teradata data warehouses and data marts.

Use Erwin Data Modeler to create, modify, and manage data models, metadata, and data dictionaries.

Analyze business requirements and convert them into scalable database designs.

Define and enforce data modeling standards, best practices, and naming conventions.

Partner with data architects and ETL developers to ensure alignment between models and ETL processes.

Perform data profiling, data analysis, and impact assessment for model changes.

Optimize data structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability in Teradata environments.

Support data governance and metadata management initiatives.

Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and data quality evaluations.

Provide documentation and production/development support.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

5+ years of experience in data modeling for large-scale data warehouse environments.

Strong expertise in Teradata databases and architecture.

Advanced proficiency with Erwin Model Mart.

Deep understanding of normalized, dimensional, and hybrid modeling techniques.

Experience in ETL concepts, data governance, and metadata management.

Strong SQL skills and experience with database performance tuning.

Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform integrated with Teradata.

Familiarity with BI/reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects.

Exposure to Agile / DevOps environments.
