Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone who excels in analyzing business needs, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering organized documentation. The role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of business analysis methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to support project objectives and stakeholder needs.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and ensure clear communication across multiple business groups.
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirement documents, using tools like Word, Excel, and Visio.
Build and foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Utilize Jira and other work management tools to track progress and manage workflows effectively.
Interpret and analyze documents, manuals, and instructions to provide actionable insights.
Present information clearly and effectively in group settings, both verbally and in written formats.
Identify and resolve issues promptly, applying practical problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with team members, customers, and external parties to achieve project goals.
Apply mathematical concepts and calculations to support analyses and reporting.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
Strong knowledge of business analysis practices and tools, including requirements gathering and documentation.
Experience with claim administration, annuities, and related business processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook.
Ability to interpret and analyze complex documents and translate them into actionable plans.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
