Job Details

Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Onsite Santa Clara, CA
Contract role & Onsite
Self driven individual who is hands on and conducts day to day laboratory functions
Conduct various socket and connector related thermo-mechanical and electrical tests & data Collection including assembly & modification of test assemblies and fixtures
Support overseas shipping and receiving, Purchase Order Requests and manage inventory
Proactively maintain laboratory and equipment per health and safety compliance standards
Work with external CM s for getting/shipping test PCBA
Train lab users on best practices for safe & successful operation of equipment and maintain laboratory equipment calibration, preventive maintenance documentation
Work with the engineering teams to resolve issues and identify areas for suggested improvement
Qualification requirements:

2+ years Prior lab technician experience
Ability to conduct device test setup, data collection, and results compilation
Hands-on experience on small volume test sample preparation, including cutting, drilling, soldering, cable making.
Familiarity with LabVIEW scripting, MS Office (Excel, Power Point etc.)
Attention to detail, demonstrated ability to produce professional, high-quality results
Ability to promote a culture of proper lab safety and housekeeping practices
Ability to provide excellent customer service and professionally provide and receive feedback
Self-motivated and well organized to complete multiple projects quickly and efficiently
Must be able to actively work in a lab environment, can conduct repetitive tasks
Willingness and ability to learn new skills
Must be able to lift 25 lbs
Familiarity with EE/ME fundamentals, test, and metrology equipment such as optical microscopes
Prior experience with the following is a big plus
o CPU Socket /connector Testing
o knowledge and experience with thermomechanical and electrical testing such as thermocouples, 4 wire testing, multimeters, load cells, strain gauges, etc.
o experience with metrology equipment such as Instron, CMMs, etc.
o experience with fabrication equipment such as drills, CNC etc.
