Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Process Engineering Manager to lead the development, optimization, and integration of our aluminum vacuum brazing and machining processes. This role is critical to ensuring manufacturing excellence, product quality, and continuous improvement in support of both existing and new product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Development & Optimization
Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for aluminum vacuum brazed heat exchangers and cold plates.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality and consistency.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality to successfully launch new products into full-scale manufacturing.
Develop scalable, repeatable, and efficient manufacturing processes for new product lines.
Quality & Reliability
Partner with the Quality team to ensure all processes meet aerospace and defense industry standards and customer requirements.
Implement robust process controls and quality assurance measures to support long-term product reliability.
Technology & Equipment Integration
Stay up to date with advancements in vacuum brazing technology and related manufacturing equipment.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement new tools and technologies to enhance process capability and productivity.
Continuous Improvement
Foster a culture of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement across the team.
Analyze process performance metrics and lead data-driven initiatives to improve output and reduce variability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and process alignment with engineering specifications.
Provide technical support for resolving complex production issues and troubleshooting process inefficiencies.
Team Leadership & Development
Mentor and develop the process engineering team to build technical depth and operational excellence.
Create and deliver training programs to elevate manufacturing team capabilities and ensure consistent execution.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure all processes comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Partner with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) teams to uphold a safe and compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience in process engineering within the aerospace or defense industry, specifically in aluminum vacuum brazing and machining.
In-depth knowledge of heat exchanger and cold plate manufacturing processes.
Strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with relevant aerospace standards and industry specifications.
Demonstrated leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with equipment and technologies related to aluminum vacuum brazing and machining.
Previous experience managing engineering teams or technical projects in a manufacturing environment.
