Job Description

You will be the Electrical Engineer for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Increment 1 - 1,000 rate Second Source Identification effort. Our team is responsible for selecting and qualifying alternative electrical suppliers, ensuring that every major electrical subsystem meets performance, reliability, and schedule goals for this high rate missile program.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Engineer you will be the technical liaison to Supplier Management Teams, driving design reviews, troubleshooting, and qualification activities for second source components. You will partner with cross functional engineers, suppliers, and program leadership to keep the PrSM electrical architecture on track and fully documented. Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing electrical requirements, schematics, interface control documents (ICDs), and drawings for all major subsystems.
Providing technical support to Supplier Management Teams, including on site visits to resolve failures and verify performance of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
Conducting root cause investigations, research, and problem resolution activities on hardware issues.
Updating and releasing subsystem designs in coordination with configuration management tools (Visio, Windchill).
Planning, executing, and analyzing laboratory and qualification test campaigns for candidate parts.
Performing Material Review Board Engineer (MRBE) tasks and participating in Failure Review Board (FRB) actions.
Documenting findings, risk mitigations, and status reports and delivering them directly to the program Electrical Engineer Lead.
Supporting the development of test plans, acceptance criteria, and verification procedures for second source parts.
Ensuring all work complies with DoD security requirements (Secret clearance or ability to obtain one).

Basic Qualifications

Experience in electrical hardware design for both development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry
Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit cards assemblies (CCA).
Experience using electrical/electronic test equipment such as DMMs, Oscilloscopes, and automated testing equipment for troubleshooting circuit card assemblies and other electrical hardware.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Detail-oriented with a focus on process and quality.

Desired skills

Experience working technical proposals. Candidate will need to be able to obtain MRBE status with the appropriate training/mentoring
Experience working failure investigation, root cause and corrective action.
Experience working with suppliers and leading suppliers during technical issue investigation
Previous experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) role, particularly in a production setting.
Experience working non-conformance disposition of hardware for production.
Prior experience with Lockheed Martin programs or similar defense contractors is a plus
Familiarity with the transition from development to production, including the resolution of design issues and optimization for mass production.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
