Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in our healthcare sector. This is an ideal position for someone looking to grow in Project Management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the electrical systems design of a given project based on scope of work and/or client requirements.
• Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration for all electrical systems including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Conduct existing building surveys and documentations of existing electrical and fire alarm systems.
• Write/edit project specifications.
• Write engineering reports, assessment reports, and Basis of Design documents.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: minimum 5 years' design experience preferably with projects in healthcare, science and technology, education and commercial buildings.
• LEED Certification/Experience: preferred
• Technical Skills: electrical calculations including lighting photometric calcs, voltage drop and overcurrent protection coordination, and short circuit calculations.

Skills/abilities:

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• Excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Travel: Up to 25%

The base salary range for this position is $95,000-$125,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
