Description
Our customer is a private, non-profit general farm organization protecting the interests of farm and rural families across North Carolina. They operate the largest domestic property and casualty insurance company in the state, with a network of agents serving all 100 counties.
The Database Administration team is expanding due to an upcoming retirement and is seeking a Senior DB2 Systems DBA to join their 5-person team. This role is focused on DB2 for z/OS at the systems level, supporting infrastructure, performance, and version upgrades-not application development.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience with DB2 version upgrades (v12 to v13), performance tuning, and system-level maintenance such as applying APARs and PTFs. While the primary focus is on DB2 z/OS, familiarity with DB2 LUW is important, and SQL Server knowledge is a nice-to-have.
This is a high-impact role supporting the stability and modernization of the organization's core database infrastructure.
