Job Title: IBM i AS400 Technical Lead

Location Evansville Indiana (Onsite)

Contract

Mandatory Skills : AS/400,AS400 - Cobol,CL/400

Experience Minimum 9 years up to 13 years in IBM i AS400 technical delivery

Job Summary

• We are looking for a seasoned Technical Lead with strong expertise handson experience in IBM i AS400 technologies The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in COBOL DB2 RPG and CL programming along with excellent client interaction skills and a strong focus on quality delivery and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• iSeries Development Expertise in technologies such as ILE COBOL ILE CL database DB2
• Knowledge of iSeries APIs Data queues User queues multithreading Journaling and IBM iSeries file systems such as Library based system etc
• Experience with SQL and MQ Series is a plus
• Functional Requirements and Perform Requirement Analysis
• Estimate and Monitor Estimates
• Work with Business teams to prioritize work
• Prepare detailed design documentation
• Reporting and tracking of assignments
• Fix high priority issues

Required Skills Experience

• Excellent communication stakeholder management and problemsolving skills
• Strong knowledge of IBM i AS400 COBOL CL RPG and DB2
• COBOL400 COBOL ILE
• SQL400 Query400 Strong working knowledge in DB2400
• ILE Concepts
• Display Files Sub Files Printer Files
• Embedded SQL

Additional Skills

• Aldon MQ Series is a plus Worked on production support added advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services lending domain
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum and traditional SDLC methodologies
• Exposure to modernization tools or microservices even at concept level
