Detailed Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced ATE Test and Evaluation Engineer with a strong background in automated test systems, NI LabVIEW/TestStand, and PXI-based hardware. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain advanced automated test equipment (ATE) for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring compliance with industry and military standards.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage, repair, and upgrade NI PXI-based test systems and production acceptance stations.
  • Develop LabVIEW applications and automation frameworks to test aerospace hardware.
  • Integrate 3rd-party hardware into test setups for enhanced system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production test issues (including line-down situations) with priority.
  • Support manufacturing teams with operator training, calibration, and procedural guidance.
  • Design and maintain production test databases for long-term efficiency and traceability.
  • Perform failure analysis, system bring-up, and troubleshooting using advanced test equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace and MIL-STD/RTCA test standards.
  • Document test procedures, best practices, and operator reference materials.
  • Strong expertise in NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, PXI/PCI DAQ systems.
  • Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) for aerospace/avionics domains.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols: RS232, RS422, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC, SPI, I C, Ethernet, JTAG.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and failure analysis experience.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160, IPC-610 standards.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and work with mixed-signal systems (analog, digital, embedded processors, FPGAs).
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and code repository management.
Must-Have Skills:
  • ship (due to ITAR compliance).
  • Aerospace Exp is a must!
  • 10+ years of experience in test system software & hardware development.
