Role Title: Axiom Developer
Duration: 6-month contract+ extensions (January Start Date)
Preferred Location: Remote, with occasional travel to New York as needed
Role Description:
Our client is undergoing a large-scale regulatory reporting initiative and is seeking an experienced Axiom Developer to support critical deliverables tied to their Basel implementation program. This role will focus on enhancing, developing, and optimizing Axiom SL (Axiom ControllerView) regulatory reporting frameworks to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across the organization.
The ideal consultant will collaborate closely with risk, finance, and technology teams to translate regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions, build and maintain data models, and support ongoing testing and validation cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Axiom SL (ControllerView) data models, workflows, and regulatory reporting templates.
- Work closely with Basel and regulatory reporting SMEs to interpret requirements and convert them into Axiom-based configurations.
- Support Basel III/IV reporting initiatives, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
- Perform data mapping, transformation logic, and integration of new data elements into Axiom frameworks.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform impact analysis, and support defect remediation.
- Assist with testing cycles (SIT/UAT), documentation, and deployment activities.
- Partner with Finance, Risk, and Data teams to validate data quality and reporting accuracy.
Requirements:
- Hands-on Axiom SL development experience, including ControllerView, data dictionaries, workflows, and report templates.
- Strong knowledge of Basel III regulatory frameworks (RWA, LCR, NSFR, capital calculations, etc.).
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into Axiom technical configurations.
- Proficiency with SQL and data analysis for mapping, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in large banking, financial services, or regulatory reporting environments preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and travel to New York as needed.
