Job Description: SAP EWM Consultant
Position Summary
The SAP EWM Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Extended Warehouse Management solutions to optimize warehouse operations. This role works closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical developers to deliver end-to-end EWM processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and visibility within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and analyze business requirements for warehouse and logistics operations.
Design, configure, and implement SAP EWM solutions (Basic & Advanced EWM).
Lead blueprinting workshops and create functional specifications for enhancements, RF screens, interfaces, and reports.
Configure key EWM components:
Inbound & outbound processes
Warehouse structure & master data
Slotting and rearrangement
Labor management
Yard management
Wave management
Physical inventory
Resource management & Task Interleaving
Integrate EWM with other SAP modules (SAP ERP, TM, PP, SD, MM).
Support cutover activities, testing (SIT/UAT), training, and go-live stabilization.
Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing production support.
Collaborate with ABAP/technical teams for custom developments and interface solutions (IDocs, BAPIs, RF framework).
Create documentation, SOPs, configuration guides, and training materials.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend best practices for warehouse optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or related field.
3 10+ years of hands-on SAP EWM experience (depending on level).
Strong knowledge of warehouse/logistics operations and best practices.
Experience with both Decentralized EWM and Embedded EWM (S/4HANA).
Understanding of integration with SAP ERP (MM, SD, QM, PP).
Experience with RF processes, barcode scanning, and mobile data collection.
Ability to write functional specifications and work with technical teams.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
