Overview

This is a remote position that may only be hired in North Carolina.

This position supports our Digital Banking & Strategy organization, specifically working with our Wealth, Consumer, and Small Business clients. As a Senior Business Analyst at First Citizens Bank, you will play a crucial role in delivering the vision and roadmap for our digital banking products such as mobile and web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet customer needs and align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize the product backlog based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery.
  • Continuously analyze product performance to drive improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience

Preferred Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience supporting digital banking space, web and/or mobile.
  • Understanding of User Story creation.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem solving skills & ability to identify challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing product backlog.
  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., JIRA and Confluence).
  • User-Centric thinking - understanding user needs and translating them into product requirements.
