The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with business leaders, product owners, developers, and stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories. This role involves supporting project teams through analysis, process improvement, and solution validation, with a focus on clarity, quality, and alignment to business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand, document, and refine business requirements, workflows, and system needs.
  • Create business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
  • Analyze current-state vs. future-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and efficiency.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders.
  • Support the product and development teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring requirements are understood, implemented, and validated.
  • Assist in UAT planning and execution, including test case creation, defect tracking, and approval sign-offs.
  • Research and evaluate new tools, process enhancements, and system capabilities to support business needs.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to internal standards, security, and compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 1 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role within technology or business operations.

Technical/Analytical Skills:

  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
  • Experience with process mapping / workflow tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile or SDLC methodologies
  • Ability to create user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases
  • Experience working with project or work-tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data analysis using Excel, SQL, or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting software development or implementation projects
  • Business Analyst certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, etc.) is a plus
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both business and technical audiences
