Job Description
The Technology Analyst will provide technical expertise and support to the Engineering Solutions group, collaborating closely with the Technology Department to meet hardware and software needs across the Engineering Department. The role involves evaluating all technology requests for functionality, compatibility, and alignment with existing infrastructure.
A major focus of this position is supporting Autodesk applications used throughout the Engineering Department and facilitating specialized engineering and architectural design software. This is a full-time role intended to support a work order nearing completion.
Consultant Responsibilities
Software Deployment, Upgrades & Support
Manage deployments, upgrades, license administration, and technical support for:
Autodesk software (290 licenses)
70+ specialized engineering design and analysis applications
Server & Virtual Environment Support
Collaborate with the Server and Virtual Desktop Teams on:
Testing, implementation, and management of Engineering Application VM Servers
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) upgrades and deployments
Bluebeam Revu Administration
Manage 500 Bluebeam Revu licenses, including:
Portal administration
Software upgrades and configuration
Installation and project review session creation
Provide user support and coordinate with project teams for agency-wide reviews
Computer Refresh & Setup
Partner with the Technology Refresh Team to support:
OS upgrades
Device replacements
Pre-install software packages and assist users during initial setup
Onsite Technical Support & Optimization
Provide hands-on support for Engineering-owned applications
Maintain service logs and generate Power BI reports for management
Engineering Project Data Server Support
Administer project data servers:
Manage folder creation
Resolve user access requests
Upload project files to Livelink for agency-wide review
License & Documentation Management
Maintain software license inventory and documentation within the Engineering Solutions SharePoint site
Engineering Solutions Support
Project Support & Application Development
Assist application task leaders with major initiatives such as:
People Finder
CAD Review Automation
EQuIs Database
Leica Cyclone Enterprise
SQL Server Maintenance
Perform data backups and cleanup tasks using existing SSMS scripts
Technical & Experience Requirements
Required Experience
5+ years of hands-on Autodesk experience (functionality, troubleshooting, technical support)
3+ years working with Azure cloud technologies and Azure Data Lake environments
10+ years of advanced system analysis, including generating licensing and usage reports
Skilled with:
Power BI for reporting
Adobe Acrobat Pro and Bluebeam Revu (5+ years)
Experience supporting:
Engineering design teams
Project workflows
3D point cloud data storage
Soft Skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field required
Advanced degree preferred
Preferred Experience
Prior work with a large public agency or utility
