Job Details

Our client is an innovative federal consulting agency dedicated to harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the capabilities of the defense and intelligence communities. Their mission is to provide innovative, secure, and scalable AI solutions that support national security and defense operations.

They are seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers AI-driven applications and solutions for defense and intelligence operations. You will work closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure our data systems are robust, scalable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support AI and machine learning models, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and readily accessible.
  • Data Integration: Integrate diverse data sources, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, to enable comprehensive data analysis and AI applications.
  • Database Management: Develop, optimize, and manage databases and data warehouses to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Data Security: Implement and enforce data security measures in compliance with federal guidelines and protocols, ensuring the protection of sensitive and classified information.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with data scientists, AI engineers, and other team members to define data requirements and support AI initiatives.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automated data processing workflows to streamline data collection, transformation, and analysis.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of data infrastructure, processes, and protocols to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
  • A current Secret security clearance or higher is REQUIRED.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Strong experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
  • Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with big data tools and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Experience with AWS cloud platform and its data services.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
