SAIC is seeking Cloud Engineers to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS.
The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region.
Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by fall 2025.
The Cloud Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Qualifications
Level II: Bachelors and 5-8 years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Level III: Bachelors and 9-17 years of experience or an additional 4 years in lieu of degree
Level IV: Masters and 16+ years of experience or an additional 4 years in lieu of degree.
Desired Qualifications:

The Cloud Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Optimize cloud resources for efficiency, reliability, and cost savings through providing technical assessments to cloud environment's design and integration challenges and recommending mitigation approaches, to include hardware solutions, software solutions, and modification of architectural design.
- Provide hands-on development and implementation of commercial cloud solution architectures that modernize the processes through which cloud technology is architected, deployed, and used, focusing on security, scalability, and resiliency.
- Develop and conduct testing of cloud and virtualization systems.
- Collaborate on system design for security and compliance, ensure cloud service offerings adhere to Cloud Computing policies/guidelines and assist with establishing strategic plans and objectives.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Strong knowledge of enterprise computing and operating systems (OS) and cloud computing platforms, such as Linux, Windows, Azure, and AWS.
- Familiarity with various cloud technologies such as SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles to protect cloud data from unauthorized users and malicious attacks.
- Experience migrating and integrating systems into a cloud environment and planning and engineering cloud computing infrastructure and applications.
