Job Details

Role: Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Duration: 6 Months

We re looking for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our global Security Operations Center (SOC). In this role, you'll be on the front lines of defending our systems hunting down threats, analyzing malware, and helping keep our organization secure.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Analyze malware to understand how it works, what it's trying to do, and extract key threat indicators

  • Investigate cyber threats using intelligence provided by our internal teams

  • Actively hunt for hidden or advanced threats across the network

  • Look into suspicious activity and respond to security alerts

  • Fine-tune and improve security tools like SIEM and IDS to catch more threats and reduce false alarms

  • Work closely with junior analysts mentor them, guide them, and help grow the team s skills

  • Handle real-time security incidents from detection and investigation to containment and system recovery

  • Support a range of incidents like phishing, malware, DDoS attacks, and unauthorized access

Who You ll Work With

You ll be part of a diverse, global SOC team spread across New Jersey, Singapore, Hyderabad, and Zurich. We re a collaborative and fast-paced group that values innovation, shared learning, and constantly improving our defenses.

What We re Looking For

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box

  • Experience in proactively detecting suspicious activity in log files

  • 9+ years of hands-on work in threat detection, malware analysis, or incident responseComfortable working with logs and using REGEX

  • Strong understanding of x86 assembly, disassemblers, and debuggers

  • Experience analyzing malware (both statically and dynamically)

  • Familiar with tools like Volatility or other forensic platforms

  • Able to write and understand both compiled (C/C++) and scripting (Python/Perl) languages

  • Solid grasp of how the internet works (TCP/IP, networking protocols)

  • Knowledge of how DDoS attacks work and how to stop them
