Position: Mainframe IMS and CICS Developer

Location: Wilmington, DE & Plano, TX (100% Onsite, 5 Days/Week)
Job Type: Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe IMS and CICS Developer to join our team onsite in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in legacy mainframe systems and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • IMS/DB
  • CICS
  • COBOL

Required Technical Expertise

  • Programming Languages:
    • Strong proficiency in COBOL for application development and maintenance.
  • Mainframe Operating Systems:
    • Deep understanding of z/OS environments and capabilities.
  • Database Technologies:
    • Extensive experience with IMS/DB and IMS/DC, including database design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Transaction Processing:
    • Expertise in CICS programming, transaction management, and interfacing with COBOL applications.
  • JCL (Job Control Language):
    • Ability to create, manage, and optimize JCL scripts for efficient batch processing.
  • System Administration (Basic):
    • Familiarity with data set management, RACF security practices, and overall mainframe system operations.
