Job Title: Director of Finance Transformation ERP Implementation

Industry: Biopharmaceutical / Life Sciences
Duration: 4-Month Contract W2

Work Location: Hybrid (San Diego, CA | Minnetonka, MN | New Jersey)

Schedule: Tues Thurs Onsite | Mon & Fri Remote
Hours: 40 hrs/week (9 5; OT likely during close cycles)

Primary Purpose

  • Serve as the Finance lead for the NetSuite ERP implementation.
  • Act as the liaison between Finance/Accounting and technical implementation teams.
  • Lead all finance-related components of NetSuite implementation.
  • Participate in build, design, and UAT.
  • Ensure financial requirements and controls are accurately configured.
  • Partner with implementation partners and cross-functional workstreams (quality, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Represent finance needs while ensuring system design aligns with business operations.
  • Drive toward NetSuite Go-Live (July 2026).

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor s in Accounting; 15+ years progressive accounting experience
  • Public company experience in pharma/biotech/life sciences
  • Hands-on NetSuite ERP implementation experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, internal controls, financial reporting
  • Proven success driving process automation
  • Excellent communication & cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver

Preferred:

  • CPA license

Job Description:

  • Represent Finance and Accounting requirements during NetSuite implementation
  • Provide input on system design for GL, AP, reporting, and compliance
  • Support data migration by validating accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in testing and UAT to ensure financial workflows function correctly
  • Assist in documenting finance-related processes and controls
  • Ensure NetSuite configuration supports GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with SOX providers, auditors, and internal teams on ITGCs
  • Identify risks and recommend improvements to financial controls
  • Support automation initiatives and process streamlining
  • Provide ongoing support during transition to NetSuite
  • Act as a resource for the Finance and Accounting teams
  • Other duties as assigned
