Job Summary:

The Allegis Corporate Services (ACS) Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will play a key role in delivering analytical applications such as dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc tools to the organization. This strategic position involves developing innovative visualizations and enterprise-wide insights within the ACS Business Intelligence & Analytics department using a modern data stack.

Responsibilities include enhancement and maintenance of the current BI platform and creating new capabilities with advanced data transformation and visualization tools. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and experienced in modular data model creation for reporting. The BI Developer should be able to work independently and understand their work's broader impact on the organization.

Required in-office presence at least 4 days per weekout of our headquarters in Hanover, MD


Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Design, deploy, and support dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI, integrated with Snowflake.
  • Build scalable, modular data models using SQL.
  • Ensure high data quality through automated validation and discrepancy resolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions using a modern data stack.
  • Develop and maintain QA processes, incorporating automated testing.
  • Stay current with modern data stack technologies, adopting and championing best practices.
  • Code, test, and support BI systems, ensuring seamless cloud integration and performance.
  • Create interactive visualizations from multiple data sources with a focus on user experience and insights leading to action.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and generate predictive insights.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, tools, and content areas.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing BI solutions with a modern data stack.
  • Knowledge of the staffing industry and economic/market trends is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in modern data stack technologies, including cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake
  • Working knowledge of Tableau and SQL; additional BI Tools and dbt is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL development in cloud environments like Azure and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agents for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Python; strong knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
  • Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and automate test scenarios for system and user testing.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting code and data quality issues with modern monitoring tools.
  • Effective communication of project status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.

Salary Range:
  • $87,100-$130,700
  • The position is bonus eligible
